When selecting the best exhaust for your Harley Street Glide, several factors should guide your decision:
- Compatibility: Ensure the exhaust is designed specifically for your bike’s model years (2017-2023 is common for these options) and fits your Touring variant (Street Glide, Road King, etc.).
- Installation: Consider slip-on designs for easier, quicker installation without specialized tools or modifications. Products with included hardware simplify the process.
- Material and Finish: Look for durable materials like powder-coated steel or high-quality chrome that resist heat and corrosion. Finishes affect both durability and aesthetics.
- Performance and Sound: Evaluate whether the exhaust improves exhaust flow, boosts engine performance, and produces a desirable sound tone aligning with your preferences.
- Regulatory Compliance: Confirm the exhaust meets emissions standards for your state to avoid legal issues. Many SHARKROAD exhausts specify 50-state compliance.
- Additional Components: Consider compatible mounting brackets or rubber mounts for proper exhaust alignment and vibration reduction.
- Value and Brand Reputation: Balance price with quality, and choose brands known for reliable motorcycle parts and positive customer support.
