The new Lamborghini Huracan STO is a road-legal hardcore supercar, inspired by its Huracan Super Trofeo EVO racer
Lamborghini has unveiled a road-legal, but track-focused version of the Huracan, which draws inspiration from the company’s one-make Huracan racing series. It’s called the STO and it features a wealth of cosmetic and performance tweaks which promise to make it the fastest iteration of the supercar yet.
The Lamborghini Huracan STO is available to order now, priced from £216,677 (excluding tax) – although buyers can inflate that figure by personalising their car’s livery, trim and interior through the company’s Ad Personam customisation service. First deliveries are expected to arrive in spring 2021.

Styling revisions for the Huracan STO are extensive, stretching to a deeper front splitter, a reshaped rear diffuser, a manually adjustable rear spoiler and a new engine cover with a functional air scoop and a “shark-fin” stabilising vane.
Lamborghini has also junked the standard car’s separate bonnet, bumper and front wings, replacing them with a single-piece clamshell, who’s styling emulates that of the Sesto Elemento. The unit even has a vent above each wheel, which the brand says helps to expel hot air from the wheel arches and cool the brakes.
Lamborghini says 75 per cent of the Huracan’s exterior panels have been replaced with carbon fibre for the STO. The windscreen is also 20 per cent lighter than the standard Huracan’s, while the car’s new wheels are made from lightweight magnesium. The tweaks give the STO a dry weight of 1,339kg, which is 43kg less than the Huracan Performante.
Lamborghini has also widened the Huracan’s track, fitted stiffer suspension bushings, specific anti-roll bars and beefier Brembo brakes. The gearbox also has a quicker shift pattern and – like all of Lamborghini’s wildest projects – power is sent to the rear wheels only.
One thing Lamborghini hasn’t played with is the Huracan’s engine. It’s the same naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 unit found in the rear-wheel drive Performante, which develops an identical 631bhp and 565Nm of torque. However, due to the diet, the STO is 0.3 seconds faster from 0–62mph, with a claimed time of three seconds flat.
Inside, there’s very little in the way of creature comforts. The car’s standard seats have been swapped for full carbon fibre replacements and there’s a roll-bar with four-point safety harnesses for added crash safety. The Huracan’s carpets and sound deadening have also been removed to save weight – and there’s a new storage bin, specifically designed to hold the driver’s crash helmet between races.
