Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s has announced a new deal on fuel this week, offering customers 10p per litre of their petrol and diesel. From today until July 2nd, motorists will be able to cash in on the fuel deal off petrol and diesel at their forecourt. Motorists who spend £60 or more on groceries in store will be eligible for the discount. The discount can be drivers who want to fill up on unleaded petrol, super unleaded petrol, diesel or LPG. There is a maximum amount of 100-litres of fuel drivers can get the discount off.
Drivers all also be able to use their Nectar cars to collect a number of points on every discount, with one point per litre offered.
Karen O’Connor, Fuel Category Manager at Sainsbury’s, said: “We always aim to offer our customers great value products and services, whether they’re filling up their trolley in store or their cars at the pumps.
“That’s why we’re offering customers 10p per litre off fuel when they spend £60 or more on groceries at a Sainsbury’s supermarket or online.
“What’s more, the offer coincides with our Nectar 5x points promotion across a range of products, helping put even more money back in customers’ pockets.”
The offer is open to UK residents one the age of 16 and motorists will just be handed one fuel coupon per transaction.
Therefore, if you spend £120 you will not be given two coupons, just one. Motorists will be able to cash in on the discount at Sainsbury’s fuel courts for 14 days after the transaction.
You will not be able to use the discount when paying at the pump, which is worth bearing in mind. Motorists will also not get a voucher for purchases made at “Central” or “Local” stores.
Spending on alcohol, fuel, tobacco, gift cards, medicines, stamps, mobile phone vouchers, and travel money will not count towards the fuel discount.
