Audi's Drool-Worthy Nogaro Blue RS Package Isn't Coming to the U.S.

Good news! Audi announced a new special edition trim for its RS lineup of performance cars today, evoking design elements from its original RS car, the legendary RS 2 Avant. The trim celebrates 25 years of the Audi RS brand, and features the iconic Nogaro blue paint scheme paired with bespoke trim inside and out. The bad news? The package isn’t coming to the U.S.

Audi says the new trim, which it calls the “Anniversary package 25 years of RS,” is now available to order in Europe on the TT RS, RS 4 Avant, RS 5 coupe and Sportback, RS 6 Avant, and RS 7. In addition to the lovely paint, buyers of the package will also get things like a bespoke bumper with matte aluminum accents and a gloss black grille, gloss black mirror housings, two-tone wheels, and the number “25” projected onto the ground when the doors are opened. If you’re not into the paint, the package is also available in Nardo grey or Glacier white.

The interior is all-black inside, with cobalt blue accents on the honeycomb pattern seats, floor mats, and steering wheel. The seats in the TT RS, RS 4 and RS 5 use seats made with Nappa leather paired with Alcantara, just like the original RS 2. The RS 6 and RS 7 get perforated Valcona leather.

An Audi USA representative confirmed to Road & Track via email the package would not be coming to the U.S., as the company’s North American arm”do[es] not always follow [the] European cycle.”

Prices for the package range from 9350 Euros ($10,434) in the TT RS to 14,500 Euros ($16,181) in the RS 6 and RS 7.
