Mahindra has unveiled the next-generation Scorpio, christened as Scorpio-N. The new SUV will be launched on June 27 and sold alongside the current model, which will be rebadged as the Scorpio Classic.
Mahindra has also confirmed that the Scorpio-N will be offered in a range of petrol and diesel engine options, with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. The SUV will also get a 4×4 option.
The Scorpio-N is expected to be based on a ladder-frame chassis. Leaked images have shown the car’s chrome radiator grille, twin-pod headlights and Volvo-inspired tail lamps. The SUV also retains the side-hinged tailgate.
