Cancelled my Altroz booking & bought the Tiago EV: Initial impressions

It is a joy to drive in the city and I am getting a practical range of 220 km on full charge with Regen Level 1 always.

BHPian swami69 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I bought my Tiago EV last week – Daytona Grey XT LR version

I had originally booked an Altroz DCA and due to delays in delivering the car by PPS Motors, Chennai, I went back to my original thought of buying an EV and picked this up pretty quickly from their available stock. July dispatch and bought in July – All good with the PDI and the car.

This is my second car and my daughter would also start using it. Considering we may put approx 50 kms per day, this seems to be very economical, though considering the upfront purchase cost is higher.

I do slow charging at my home from the supplied charger. I have not put in many kilometers yet and unable to share more information. But, so far, so good with respect to charging, driving, comfort, Air Conditioning etc.

I just bought the floor mats, boot mats, mud flaps, window visors from the dealer. I did not like the steel wheels and its hub caps, hence bought a set of alloys (GT-PRO) for the same 14″ size and used the tyres which came with the car. The stance and the looks are very nice now.

Hopefully I do not get into any major niggles etc. Will share more updates once I drive more.

Statistics at this moment :

  • Approx 400 kms
  • Energy efficiency : 98 Wh/km
  • Regeneration Efficiency : 20.4%
