The Mercedes EQE SUV is offered in four variants offering a maximum range of 550 km on a single charge.
Next month, Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch its third electric SUV in the Indian market. The EQE will go on sale on September 15, 2023.
The Mercedes EQE made its global debut in October last year. It is based on the brand’s bespoke EV platform and is taller and wider than the EQE sedan.
The EQE SUV borrows design cues from the flagship EQS, featuring an aerodynamic front fascia with a gloss black centre section. The car gets LED headlights with an LED light bar connecting the two headlamp clusters. The rear also features wraparound LED tail lights that sit flush with the bodywork.
The interior of the EQE is in line with other EQ models. It comes with Mercedes’ Hyperscreen integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display and an additional screen for the front passenger. The EQE also comes packed with most of the connectivity tech and comfort & convenience features.
Globally, the Mercedes EQE SUV is offered in four variants: EQE 350+ with a rear-wheel-drive system & EQE 350 4Matic, both with 288 BHP, an EQE 500 4Matic with 536 BHP and the range-topping AMG EQE 53. All variants get the same 90 kWh battery pack with fast-charging capability and a maximum range of 550 km.
The range-topping Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 4Matic offers 677 BHP of maximum power output with the AMG Dynamic Plus pack. The EQE 53 also comes with AMG-specific bits like a sporty exterior pack, 21 and 22-inch alloys and more. It is said to be capable of sprinting from 0 – 100 in a little over 3 seconds and has a top speed of 239 km/h.
