Aston Martin have released footage of Sebastian Vettel arriving at the team’s headquarters in the UK, wearing green, of course.
Despite the fact that it was announced back in September that he’d been joining the team for the 2021 campaign, there have been precious few images of him in his new team colours.
In fact, the first and only glimpse of him in the racing green of Aston Martin came early in January, with a headshot of him in overalls posted on the official website.
From that point onwards, there were widespread calls throughout the sport for more images to be released, especially with Carlos Sainz pictured in a Ferrari and Daniel Ricciardo in McLaren.
The team formerly known as Racing Point finally answer such calls, posting footage of the German arriving at the team base in his very own Aston Martin, and while he may not have had official team kit on, he was in the right colour.
Driver and team face coverings are available now on the official Formula 1 store!

According to RTL/ntv information, Vettel was at the Aston Martin factory earlier in the week, with RTL saying the four-time World Champion spent the whole of Tuesday in the simulator as he prepares for his Aston Martin debut after switching from Ferrari following a six-year spell.
Vettel also for the first time met with his engineers and Aston Martin technical director Andrew Green, and completed a seat fitting. While it hasn’t been confirmed, it’s likely that the footage is from that day.
Many comparisons have been drawn between the German joining Aston Martin and when he signed for Red Bull back in 2008. After all, the respective factories are only half an hour or so from each other, on both occasions he left an Italy-based team, Toro Rosso to Red Bull and now Ferrari to Aston Martin, and each of those times he was joining a relatively fresh team looking to launch a challenge for the World Championship.
However, he says that the two situations aren’t particularly similar.
“On paper there are certainly some things that seem similar, but I think the situation is different. Mainly because I’m at a different point myself today,” said Vettel, quoted by F1 Insider.
“At a better point, with far more experience, with a clearer view. Therefore you cannot really compare the two starting points with each other. At that time I did not have the knowledge I have today, so the approach is completely different.”
