Ferrari has announced a new multi-year deal with long-time sponsor Kaspersky following the conclusion of the 2021 season.
Kaspersky has helped secure and protect Ferrari’s data since 2010 and, following a first renewal of their partnership in 2015, another new long-term deal has been agreed between the two parties.
The new agreement will see a strengthening of the bond between Ferrari and Kaspersky, as the latter will now also be an official partner of the Scuderia’s FDA Esports team.
Ferrari’s sim drivers will don the Kaspersky name on their apparel and the logo will also appear on the clothing and helmets of both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, plus all team members.
You can also expect to see the Kaspersky name continue to affiliated with Ferrari in various game platforms.
Ferrari team boss, Mattia Binotto, was naturally delighted to confirm the continuation of a long-term partnership ahead of a 2022 campaign where the Scuderia will be hoping to make up even more ground and re-enter the title picture alongside Mercedes and Red Bull.
“We are pleased to renew our partnership with Kaspersky and in fact to increase its scope,” Binotto said upon confirmation of the new deal.
“Our two companies have much in common, such as a policy of striving for technological excellence and a culture of teamwork.
“For over a decade, Kaspersky has played a key role for Scuderia Ferrari, protecting our data both at the track and in Maranello and it is important that we can count on such a reliable partner when it comes to such a delicate aspect in the life of a team.
“We are also happy that our collaboration has been extended into the world of esports, which is growing fast and is vital when it comes to promoting motorsport to a wider and younger audience.”
Ferrari responded and recovered from their worst finish in the Constructors’ Championship in four decades by finishing a well-deserved third place in the 2021 season, ahead of nearest rivals McLaren who lost their ‘best of the rest’ crown.
