Chase Elliott is the latest driver to make Dawsonville, Georgia proud, and the NBC Universal’s streaming service Peacock, is bringing the Elliott story to the home screen in August.
Elliott is the subject of the documentary CHASE. The production is a behind-the-scenes and away-from-the-track look at the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion and three-time NASCAR Most Popular Driver pick.
The documentary takes viewers back to Dawsonville to walk some of the same streets that Elliott’s father, Bill, introduced many NASCAR followers to during his own run of NASCAR Most Popular Driver awards from 1984-88, 1991-2000 and again in 2002. Bill finally asked NASCAR to remove him from Most Valuable Driver consideration.
“I enjoyed having Dale down in the North Georgia/Dawsonville area,” said Elliott. “I got to show him a little bit of my day-to-day life and some of the things that I do. We talked a lot about racing and my career, which I really enjoyed. I’m looking forward to everyone having the chance to watch and enjoy it.”
CHASE is produced by NBC Sports and NASCAR Productions.
